SAN FRANCISCO (March 24, 2015) – Marc D. Brown, MD, FAAD, Janet G. Hickman, MD, FAAD, Mark D. Kaufmann, MD, FAAD, and Gary S. Wood, MD, FAAD, begin four-year terms as members of the board of directors of the American Academy of Dermatology (Academy), the world’s largest dermatologic society, representing more than 18,000 physicians specializing in the diagnosis and medical, surgical and cosmetic treatment of skin, hair, and nail conditions.
Gary S. Wood, MD, FAAD, is a professor and chair of the department of dermatology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Madison, Wisconsin and is secretary-treasurer of the Association of Professors of Dermatology. He is a past president of the International Society for Cutaneous Lymphomas and the National Association of VA Dermatologists and has held several other leadership positions in national and international professional organizations.
