Why did you select the University of Wisconsin Dermatology Residency for your training?

While visiting, I immediately felt a strong sense of community within the residency program and was drawn to the warm, family feel of the department. The faculty are dedicated to resident education and the program is incredibly flexible, tailoring to the unique needs of each resident. To support the collaborative environment here at UW, the Dermatology Residency Program is well rounded with strength in its surgical training and dermatopathology, as well as medical and pediatric dermatology. Surgical training begins during your first week with suture workshops and excisions start at the beginning of residency with your own cases scheduled in weekly continuity clinics. The program has an array of specialty clinics as well that allow for exposure to all aspects of the practice of dermatology.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of work?

When I am not in clinic, you will typically find me outdoors, enjoying activities such as biking, playing tennis, scuba diving and skiing, spending time with friends, family and my dog, or traveling. Whether it be a quick weekend visit to Chicago or a trip to a new continent across the world, I love to travel and explore new places!
