Residents in dermatology practice in a variety of settings and subspecialties, and we continue the historic tradition of Mohs micrographic surgical training. Learn with us in these and our other medical education programs.
We study the causes of and treatments for epithelial cell cancer and other skin conditions, and are working to bridge the clinic to the lab with translational research. See what our researchers are working and writing on.
Skin Disease Research Center
An NIH-funded, interdisciplinary community of scholars specializing in skin diseases and skin biology, we offer services to researchers, pilot funding for exploratory projects, and host seminars open to the public.

Welcome to the Department of Dermatology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. We are delighted to share with you the activities of our dynamic department!
UW Health Dermatology Clinics are offered at east, central and west Madison locations, as well as UW American Family Children’s Hospital and UW Health Transformations. We also care for veterans at the Middleton VA, and consult on hospitalized patients at University of Wisconsin Hospital, American Family Children’s Hospital and Meriter Hospital. We offer a telemedicine program at the VA and are piloting a similar program at UW Health. [Read More]
