Dermatology offers these courses to current UW undergraduate students:
DERM601: Skin Biology and Skin Diseases
DERM601 is an introduction to the basic science principles of skin biology and skin diseases for undergraduate & graduate students. The course provides a strong base and training to future scientists, physicians, and industrial leaders in skin sciences and skin care, as well as drug and device development.
BIO152: Introductory Biology
Introductory Biology is a two-semester, 10-credit sequence for students majoring in or exploring the biological sciences. Students can work in a Dermatology lab as their lab section for BIO152, but must enroll in 699 or a similar independent study course for their research credits.
DERM602: Advances in Skin Biology and Skin Diseases
DERM602 offers an interactive platform to critically analyze classic and state-of-the-art research articles in skin biology and skin diseases, as well as the opportunity to present journal articles. Provides a strong base and training for future scientists, physicians, and industrial leaders in skin sciences, skincare, and drug development.
MED699: Independent Study
Directed study course for undergraduate students, providing the opportunity to work in a Dermatology research lab and be mentored by research faculty, postdoc researchers, and/or graduate students.
