Dermatology Elective
A 2- to 4-week rotation for SMPH Students. 4 weeks recommended for those interested in a dermatology career.

Ambulatory Dermatology Elective
A 2- to 4-week rotation for SMPH Students. Equivalent to Dermatology Elective.

Clinical Rotation for Visiting (non-SMPH) Students
Fourth-year electives in dermatology. Equivalent to Dermatology Elective for students from other institutions.

- Duration: Variable (2-week & 4-week)
- When: July – November
NOTE: Due to high demand and limited availability, we ask that candidates interested in a visiting rotation email or fax a CV, cover letter and transcript to Jasmine Vang (jvang@dermatology.wisc.edu or fax: 608-287-2676). We accept applications from January through mid-March. Our residency and education coordinators will review all applications at the end of March. Applicants invited to rotate must then submit an application through Visiting Student Learning Opportunities™ (VSLO®) | Students & Residents. Science of Cutaneous Disease
A 2-week course focused on the basic science foundation of cutaneous diseases, which also includes a clinical component.

Individualized Phase 3 Clinical Elective in Dermatology

Phase 3 Independent Reading and Research in Dermatology
Students can pursue individual project proposals based on their interests under the supervision of a faculty member.
